Senator Reid has filed for cloture on the compounding bill and one would imagine the vote will look rather similar to the 97-1 on the 'motion to proceed' from Tuesday.
The new version of the bill would be more palatable to the House members because registration would be voluntary. Needless to say, trade groups are up in arms and do not think the legislation goes far enough.
The bill is likely to be to the President's desk by next week.
